FASHION EYE TRANS-SIBERIAN - Coco Capitàn

55,00 €

“My trip aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway was unique because almost everything I experienced there was different from what I had imagined,” says Spanish photographer Coco Capitán. “I thought I’d be traveling on a train packed with friendly, chatty passengers, and I had this idea that my adventure would unfold that way. I was already picturing the photos of passengers I would capture with my camera in the train’s old compartments. I was far from the reality.”

Born in Seville in 1992, Coco Capitán currently lives in London, where she moved to study at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. Her work spans a wide range of disciplines and media. Involved in the world of luxury from the start of her career, she quickly gained international recognition as a fashion photographer. However, her artistic direction and achievements extend far beyond this sphere, combining photography, painting, and performance with written slogans and aphorisms.

Inspired by the House’s spirit of travel, Louis Vuitton’s Fashion Eye collection evokes cities, regions, or countries through the lens of fashion photographers—whether emerging talents or industry legends. Each title in the series features a wide selection of large-format photographs, along with biographical notes and an interview with the artist or a critical essay. Following the City Guides and Travel Books, this third collection by Louis Vuitton brings fashion into travel photography. The selected photographers thus infuse their images of major cities, faraway places, or dream destinations with their unique vision.
