VERNISSAGE - "Books on Photobooks" by Anatole Desachy, Jean-Marie Donat and Daniel Blaize
For many years, the photobook remained in the shadow of photography, but today it has conquered its autonomy and become an essential component of photography under its now-established name: Photobook.
Faced with the diversity and number of publications, from the invention of photography to the recent craze for the Photobook, the need for a compendium has arisen, giving rise to compilations with a universal vocation, such as the Parr & Badger trilogy, or to collections devoted to specific fields: geographical areas, photographers, themes...
It's with great pleasure that L'INAPERÇU, whose DNA is Photobooks, brings you a selection of some fifty of these compilations, the Books on Photobooks, often rare because they are highly sought-after by collectors.
To coincide with this carte blanche at L'INAPERÇU, Editions Innocences and Les Yeux Ouverts are co-publishing The Book of Books on Photobooks, a compilation of books on photography published around the world, featuring over a hundred references.

VERNISSAGE - "A photograph, a book in the collection of Jérôme Prochiantz
For the first time, the L'INAPERCU bookshop has entrusted its curation to a collector.
" Une photographie, un livre dans la collection de Jérôme Prochiantz" presents a selection of 60 photography books featuring reproductions of prints from his collection. Jérôme Prochiantz is no ordinary collector. A photography enthusiast, over the years he has collected over 500 prints, which he lovingly hangs on the walls of his apartment. His apartment is home to photographic icons such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Arthur Tress and Nan Goldin, as well as lesser-known artists who have had a profound impact on him.
Jérôme Prochiantz also owns over 600 photobooks featuring the photographs he has collected. Each book is an extension of his passion for photography. Each book is an extension of his passion for photography, making it an invaluable record of his journey as a collector.
This unique dialogue between prints and photobooks reveals an unprecedented aspect of this highly personal collection.
