About Valérie Belin :
Fren artiste Valérie Belin was born in 1964 in Boulogne-Billancourt. She lives and works in Paris. She studied at the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Versailles (1983-1985), then at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Bourges (1985-1988), and obtained the Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique in 1988. She also holds a degree in art philosophy (University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1898). Initially influenced by various minimalist and conceptual movements, Valérie Belin became interested in the photographic medium, which is both the subject of her work and her means of reflection and creation. Light, matter and the body of things and beings in general, as well as their transformations and representations, constitute the terrain of her experiments and the universe of her artistic purpose. The work manifests itself in the form of photographic series, each one being realized within the framework of a project.
