L’INAPERÇU pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “TOO FUNNY FOR WORDS,” a selection curated by Erik Kessels, a curator and expert in vernacular photography who was a guest of the bookstore.
"Today, we are bathed in an uninterrupted stream of images.
Everyone's a photographer, and every one of us can, on occasion, take a really good photo. In the small world of photo-books, artists often tend to take themselves a little too seriously, and humor is rare. The omnipresence of photography in our daily lives should enable us to improve the way we play with photos and photobooks. Photobooks offer a wonderful pictorial compendium of our ideas and inspirations. And if those images make us smile, even better! - Erik Kessels
