This first monograph in French traces the career of Paz Errázuriz, a leading figure in Chilean photography, over more than forty years. From her earliest series created in the 1970s to her most recent and previously unpublished works, such asÑuble,Próceres, andSepur Zarco, Paz Errázuriz’s images reflect a feminist and social commitment. The photographer turns her lens on the invisible, those living on the margins; a body of work that resonates all the more powerfully today as it echoes the upheavals of contemporary society. Her long-term approach allows her to forge strong bonds with her subjects; women and men pose proudly, sometimes letting go, offering a glimpse into their private lives.

The book accompanies the artist’s first solo exhibition at a Parisian institution, the Maison de l’Amérique latine, curated by Béatrice Andrieux.
