DREAMING JOURNAL - Corinne Mercadier
This artist’s book brings together photographs and writings by Corinne Mercadier. It unfolds in a chronological sequence, like any diary, spanning just over a year. The events of each day intertwine with persistent daydreams, glances cast around one’s surroundings or toward the past, and the projects that form the substance of the work currently taking shape. Two series of photographs intersect: Interiors and Glasstypes. The empty spaces of the former and the strange, isolated objects in the latter reveal two sides of the same quest for light. And a dual approach to reality—a shifting screen upon which images of the visible world and images of an inner world are projected.
