I would also like to be a work on jealousy - Jenny Rova

30,00 €
Out of print

Jenny Rova continues her biographical photo book, *A Self-Portrait Through the Eyes of My Lovers*, with *I’d Like to Be, Too*, in which she imagines herself as her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, superimposing herself onto their life together in photos she downloaded from Facebook. Rova jealously places herself in the new girlfriend’s position, mimicking her pose, expression, and clothing, and photographs herself in the same light—all to superimpose her own image onto the original, covering the girlfriend. By taking the place of the new girlfriend, she is able to briefly see herself as part of her ex-lover’s life once again, and to imagine what it would be like to be her.
