The photographs Chris Killip took in northern England between 1973 and 1985 were first published by Secker & Warburg in the book *In Flagrante* in 1988. Steidl’s new oversized edition is a radically updated presentation, featuring a single image on the right-hand side of each spread. In Flagrante Two firmly believes in the primacy of photography, embracing ambiguities and contradictions in a straightforward narrative sequence devoid of text.
