RAY'S A LAUGH : A READER - Richard Billingham

25,00 €
Out of print

This collection traces the history of a work that remains as relevant and thought-provoking as it was upon its publication, and whose journey sheds light on the inner workings of the art world, publishing, and the political issues surrounding its dissemination. In a previously unpublished essay, Liz Jobey, the editor, traces this history through interviews with Billingham and all the key figures involved in the work’s emergence, including Michael Collins, Julian Germain, and Paul Graham. This is followed by a wide-ranging selection of conversations and essays, from 1996 to the present day, by authors such as Charlotte Cotton, Gordon Burn, Lynn Barber, and Jim Lewis. This book is published simultaneously with a new edition of Ray’s a Laugh, faithful to Billingham’s original vision.
