TREPAT - Joan Fontcuberta

180,00 €
Out of print

The “Trepat” box set, created by Spanish artist Joan Fontcuberta (1955–), was published by Bessard in 2014 to coincide with an exhibition organized by MACSA (Catalan Museum of Agricultural Systems) and dedicated to the Trepat collection, a little-known treasure of the history of Spanish photography. This series of photographs highlights the centennial of the founding of the Trepat factories, the leading producers of agricultural machinery in Spain during the twentieth century. The exhibition was curated by Joan Fontcuberta, himself a creator but also a historian and author of several books on the history of Spanish photography. The images assembled here fully reflect the experimental journey of the avant-garde movements: from Cubism to New Objectivity, from Preciosism to Surrealism, from Constructivism to Social Realism…

The limited edition features a metal piece from the Trepat factory on the front cover.
