WOLFGANG TILLMANS - Moderna Museet Stockholm

150,00 €

In recent years, Tillmans has traveled the world taking photographs with the general title Neue Welt. These images, exhibited at Moderna Museet Stockholm, relate to the new world of markets and commerce, politics and economics, and the hypermodern. The title also refers to the new digital camera Wolfgang used to take these pictures, which captures and documents more detail than we can perceive with the naked eye. "Wolfgang Tillmans is one of today's leading artists. Despite his visual complexity, his pictorial language is immediately recognizable. He captures the explosive energy in social situations and crosses the boundaries between different art forms. He is able to use photographic means to create a kind of abstract painting", says Daniel Birnbaum, director of the museum.

Moderna Museet / Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen exhibition catalog, Stockholm, 2012

21.5 cm x 28 cm, good condition

ISBN 978 3 941773 20 2
