HUNTHOUSANDTHS OF A SECOND - Fulvio Roiter
“Centesimi di Secondo” is a collection of works by the Italian photographer Fulvio Reuter (1926–2016). Among the postwar Italian photographers are Luigi Gilli, famous for his work with the Atelier Morandi; Franco Fontana, known for his close-up nudes and color photographs; and Guido Guidi, creator of constructed landscapes. Evoking the post-war Italian photography of the previous generation, we can mention Hugo Murras, who immortalized the New York art scene; Paolo Monti, who also had the opportunity to photograph some of Morandi’s studios; and Fulvio Reuter himself. The latter is a renowned photographer, winner of the Nadar Prize for his masterpiece “Ombre, Terre de Saint-François” (1955). This book brings together photographs taken in Italy, Europe, Africa, and South America during Reuter’s travels in the 1950s and 1970s.
